my grandma slipped and fell and hurt her spine.
i always thought she was a tough old bird- always so feisty and aggressive, like your typical cantonese woman.
but when i saw her lying on the hospital bed, unable to walk or stand up on her feet,
she seemed so vulnerable and helpless to me.
i guess i always take people for granted, until something bad happens, and makes me realise that i'm this close to losing them.
