countdown

for some reason, my spirits are experiencing a slight lift.
maybe it's because of the holiday season, the festive mood, etc.
and perhaps it's because i really am looking forward to 2005-
starting on a clean slate in a foreign country, having to establish
my new identity there, having to find a new circle of friends/
acquantances, and learning to stand on my own two feet.
i like starting from scratch. square one. a new beginning.

and x;mas is just a week away!
haven't had time to do any x'mas shopping,
or rather, shopping in general.
apologies to the friends and family that i have
unwittingly neglected over the past few months.
i really hope to make amends before i leave.
i guess this x.mas will be a bittersweet one.
